METHOD FOR SUPPORTING STRUCTURE DESIGN OF INSIDE VEHICLE DASHBOARD PANEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To newly propose method and device for designing the layout and shape of a structure mounted in a dashboard panel in a short time and also at a low cost. ;SOLUTION: A third solid model S3 is produced so as to have at least a ventilating space R1 formed by subtracting a mounting space (second solid model S2) of structures 50, 60 and 70 from a closed space (first solid model S1) comprising a dashboard panel 40 and an outer wall partitioning an engine and the inside of a car cabin and also covering the front side of a vehicle of the dashboard panel 40, and data about air in the ventilating space R1 is subjected to numerical simulation on the basis of the third solid model S3. Thus, conventional prototype, experiment and experiment result evaluation can be substituted for numerical simulation to be able to support designing. It is possible to design the layout and shapes of structures mounted inside the dashboard panel 40 in a short time and at a low cost.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
