PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resource reservation system for file transfer capable of realizing a service class where a multiplex efficiency of the file transfer is enhanced and completion of the file transfer is warranted up to a file transfer end estimate time and to provide a packet scheduling system. ;SOLUTION: A reservation rate function rrsv(t) denoting an output band at each node as a function of a time (t) on the basis of an input rate function rin(t) denoting an input band in each node as a function of the time (t) and an idle rate function rϕ(t) denoting an idle band in each node as a function of the time (t) is decided and control processing for judging whether or not each node can accept a reservation request is sequentially conducted at an entrance node, a core node and an exit node on the basis of a fact as to whether or not a difference between the input rate function and the reservation rate function exceeds a buffer capacity available by each node.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
