PURPOSE: A resource reservation method and a packet communication system are provided to reserve resources on a changeable path during a reservation even though a communication path between a transmission device and a receiving device is changed as well as the path is changed by a movement of the transmission device or the receiving device, thereby reserving the resources equal to the path of the reservation. CONSTITUTION: A link for connecting each interface is defined with regards to two devices selected from a device group consisting of a transmission device(T1), repeaters(X0-X4), and a receiving device(T2). A path up to the receiving device(T2) from the transmission device(T1) is defined as a collection of the link. A connection state is examined for all links configuring at least the path. If the examined connection state satisfies reserved request contents, resources are reserved according to the reserved contents for all the links configuring the path.
