PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the resistance of an enamel composition to friction caused by metallic pieces and its resistance to peeling without reducing the mechanical strength of enamel.;SOLUTION: The lead-free enamel composition contains fine glass particles, fine pigment particles, and an organic binder. The glass of the particles consists of lead-free mineral glass substantially having the following composition expressed by the weight percentages of oxides: 45 to 60% SiO2, 0 to 10% B2O3, 6 to 17% Al2O3, 0 to 7% Na2O, 0 to 7% K2O, 0 to 7% Li2O, 4% Li2O+Na2O+ K2O, 0 to 12% CaO, 13 to 27% BaO, 3 to 17% ZnO, 0 to 9% MgO, 0 to 2% TiO2, and 0 to 7% ZrO2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
