PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce speed-change shocks more by improving accuracy of estimation calculation of turbine torque.;SOLUTION: A value of a pump capacity coefficient Cp used for calculation with the torque converter characteristic utilizing method is corrected to make an estimated turbine torque Tt with the torque converter characteristic utilizing method coincide with estimated turbine torque Tt with an engine characteristic utilizing method right before starting the speed change. Although variation of pump capacity coefficient Cp is large in the torque converter characteristic utilizing method, the variation has an offset like property, so making the slip ratio-capacity coefficient curve, offset by using the corrected pump capacity coefficient Cp accurately calculates the estimated turbine torque Tt with the torque converter characteristic utilizing method.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
