PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a homogeneously mixed molding catalyst that can effectively and efficiently produce 1,1,1-trifluoro-2-chloroethane and mainly consists of amorphous chromium oxide particles and inorganic fluoride particles, to provide a method for producing the catalyst, and to provide a method for producing 1,1,1-trifluoro-2-chloroethane by using the catalyst. ;SOLUTION: There are provided a 1,1,1-trifluoro-2-chloroethane production catalyst which is a molding mainly consisting of amorphous chromium oxide particles and inorganic fluoride particles having a chromium content of 10-58 wt.%, an inorganic fluoride content of 10-80 wt.%, and a specific surface area of at least 50 m2/g, a method for producing the catalyst, and a method for producing 1,1,1-trifluoro-2-chloroethane by using the catalyst.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
