PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for hot-rolling a magnesium alloy which can expand a type and a unit weight within a range appropriate to manufacturing costs, and a manufacturable range of a hot-rolling mill without using a hot forging facility by manufacturing a hot-rollable slab without an extrusion molding and hot forging. SOLUTION: The method for hot-rolling the magnesium alloy is provided with a process to obtain a slab type ingot of 50-300 mm plate thickness by casting the magnesium alloy, and a process to hot-roll the ingot without the hot forging.
