PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure high accuracy turning by suppressing deflection of a cross rail member due to the movement of a saddle in the X axis direction.;SOLUTION: The free end of the cross rail portion 62 is selectively supported by a stiff horizontal arm 185 which is movably arranged and is provided with an air pad 184 at the tip end thereof.
