PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molded optical component of which manufacturing, assembling, and adjusting are easy, matching with miniaturization of a recording medium, a handling method for the molded optical component, a mold for the molded optical component, a molding method of the molded optical component, a molding method of the molded optical component, a pickup unit provided with the molded optical component, and an assembling method of the pickup unit.;SOLUTION: After the molded optical component is taken out from the mold for the molded optical component which is provided with a first resin flow-in path having a first cross-sectional area, a second resin flow-in path which is present ahead in the resin flow of the first resin flow-in path and has a cross-sectional area smaller than the first cross-sectional area, and an optical function part molding part which is present ahead in the resin flow direction of the second resin flow-in path, the molded optical component is handled with a part molded by the first resin flow-in path as a reference.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
