PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying apparatus suited for laying work using a messer shield, the apparatus being versatile and capable of securing and traveling on a path of travel within the boring width of the shield whether the subject to be conveyed is of the open or closed conduit type.;SOLUTION: The conveying apparatus comprises a self-traveling truck 51, a base 56 provided horizontally at the top of the truck 51 in such a manner as to protrude forwards from the truck 51, guide rails 52 laid on the base 56, and a mount 53 on which to place the subject 60 to be conveyed.
