PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system which enable synchronous display of an image reading report and a medical image corresponding to each other even if an image reading report database DB and a medical image DB are not linked together, and enable linking operation of the softwares of a report terminal and of an image terminal even without communication between both softwares. SOLUTION: A retrieval part 20 retrieves the image reading report DB 19 and the image DB 15 and generates a work list and an inspection list. A cooperation part 30 displays them in terminals 17 and 19. When a user selects a desired inspection from the lists, the cooperation part 30 transmits an indication to synchronously display the report and image made to correspond to each other to the cooperation parts 41 and 51 of the terminals. Besides, the terminal is changed only changing setting by enabling setting of the terminals for the report and image display for each user and eliminating mutual reliance between the softwares 42 and 52 of the respective terminals. When a display inspection is changed in one of the terminals 17 and 18, the cooperation part 30 transmits a report identification and an image identification and, then, the related report and image are displayed in the other terminal by linkage.
