PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing ventilation failure of a water tube boiler, which prevents ventilation failure without attachment or deposition of burned ash in a chamber for steam generating tube, discharge chutes from the chamber for steam generating tube, an economizer or the like of the water tube boiler. ;SOLUTION: The method for preventing ventilation failure of the water tube boiler 1 which uses fuel that contains alkali metal salts, comprises directly discharging the burned ash resulted from the burning of the fuel, from the chamber 3 for steam generating tube, through the discharge chutes 6a, 6b and 6c having cooling means 7a, 7b and 7c, respectively, and supplying silicon compounds to a combustion chamber 2, for covering the burned ash. Supersaturated steam reduced pressure is used for blowing soot to remove the burned ash that has attached or deposited inside the economizer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
