PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tailgate lifting apparatus capable of stopping in a just position whenever a grand plate comprising the tailgate lifting apparatus is forcibly closed by an external force.;SOLUTION: In the tailgate lifting apparatus for ascending and descending, or opening/closing the grand plate that includes the grand plate extending a opening/closing cylinder and a tank storing operating oil; for extending the opening/closing cylinder, a pointed head of a oil passage extended from the opening/closing cylinder is arranged inside the tank in order to prevent the grand plate from opening, and is connected with a check valve located below the oil surface of the operating oil. The check valve is a valve in which the operating oil is only passed through from the tank to the opening/closing cylinder.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
