PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate the traveling positions of a plurality of shuttle type carriers.;SOLUTION: At first, '1' is added to the maximum value X of the dog number of a fixed position dog existing in front of a common reference dog, and the calculated value is subtracted from the common reference dog number so that a value Y can be calculated (a figure 3, S32). When the fixed position dog exists in front of the common reference dog (S34, YES), A=D is set as the initial value of the number of the dog being the target of the change of the dog number (S35), and D+Y is set as the new dog number of the dog designated by the variable A (S36).
