PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring a level of gene expression, capable of simply screening genetic diseases having a possibility that they would propagate by being accompanied with transplantation of umbilical cord blood, and to provide probes used in the method.;SOLUTION: This method for measuring the level of the gene expression in the umbilical cord includes a process for preparing a cDNA complementary to a mRNA obtained from the umbilical cord, a process for making the cDNA hybridize with a probe set comprising seventeen or more probes, and the other process for measuring whether or not the cDNA hybridizes with each of the probes in the probe set, wherein each of the seventeen proves in the probe set has a sequence consisting of consecutive 8-1000 nucleotides as shown in the sequences of the sequence numbers 1 to 17 (refer to the specification).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
