TERRESTRIAL GLOBE PROVIDED WITH INFORMATION DISPLAY FUNCTION FOR WORLD CITIES AND ITS DRIVING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to select world cities and display information on the world cities by using the rotation and buttons of a terrestrial globe. SOLUTION: The terrestrial globe 20 provided with an information display function for world cities is equipped with a spherical terrestrial globe (main body) 22 having a world map drawn, a shaft 23 as an axis of rotation penetrating the terrestrial globe 22 in the center, a sense part 28 which is installed at the lower part of the axis 23 and for recognizing international time zones as the terrestrial globe 22 rotates, a selection part 34 which selects one city in a time zone recognized by the sense part 28, a display part 30 which displays information the city selected by the selection part 34, and a control part which stores the information displayed at the display part 30 and controls the selection part 34.
