PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting an unworkable area which is narrower than a working tool diameter from working shape data.;SOLUTION: Voxels 11a showing a working area and voxels 11b showing an area other than the processing area are initially given as shown in (a). The minimum value of the distance of a voxel (1-pixel voxel) whose voxel value is 1 from a voxel (0-pixel voxel) whose voxel value is 0 is stored (distance conversion) (b). Then voxels whose minimum distances are smaller than a specific quantity are defined as 0-pixel voxels (reduction processing) (c). Then 1's and 0's of all the voxels are inverted (d). After the distance conversion and reduction processing, 1's and 0's of the voxels are inverted (3). Lastly, differences between the starting voxel data which are displayed in (a) last and voxel data after enlargement shown in (e) are calculated.
