PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a patient monitoring system, in which additional calling device is easily increased, capable of monitoring the patient's range of action by using a radio communication such as a radio LAN, and enabling a patient to make a nurse call from anywhere within wireless range. SOLUTION: This system includes a mobile station 10 to be carried by the patient, a management device 30, and a master station 20 connected to the mobile stations 10 by radio and to the management device 30 by a network 40, being installed in each area of a facility. A polling processing part 31 collects information from a mobile station information storing part 22 that stores information of the mobile station in a charged area, makes history information for each of the mobile stations 10 to be recorded in a mobile station history part 34. A continuity confirming part 32 confirms responses corresponding to continuity confirming requests transmitted to each of the mobile stations 10 to monitor whether or not the patient is in a predetermined area, and upon receiving a calling of the nurse call from the mobile station 10, a call processing section 33 displays a message of the nurse call together with the area where the patient is.
