PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring method of an oil content in the emulsion capable of easily and quickly determining the quantity of the oil content in the emulsion-type lubricant supplied to a machining and cutting part of metal or a sliding part of a mechanical component for providing the lubricity of the oil with a cooling function of the water.;SOLUTION: The oil in the emulsion is dissolved by adding one or more kinds of alcohol represented by CnH2n+1OH, (poly)glycol represented by HO(CnH2n)mOH, chained ether represented by CnH2n+1OCmH2m+1, and cyclic ether represented by CnH2nOm, to the emulsion prepared by dispersing the oil in the water to inhibit the scattering of the light of the ultraviolet-visible ray area to improve the transmittance in the wavelength area, and the absorbance of 200-900 nm of the solution is measured to measure the oil content in the emulsion.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
