PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure diagnosis device for a keyless entry system, which easily focuses on a failure cause, based on display of a tester or the like, and to provide a failure diagnosis device for the same.;SOLUTION: The keyless entry system 1 includes a transmitter 2 for transmitting an identifying signal and an operating signal, and a receiver 3 for controlling operation of an actuator 4, based on the operating signal, upon detection that the identifying signal is normal. The keyless entry system 1 is comprised of a tester 5 which can display the details of communication between the transmitter 2 and the receiver 3, based on receiving signal information of the receiver 3, when a failure occurs. The tester 5 can discriminate, from each other, a first state where both the identifying signal and the operating signal are normal, a second state where the operating signal is normal but the identifying signal is not normal, and a third state where at least the operating signal is not normal, and displays a result of the discrimination.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
