PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device, which concurrently compensate the influence of a feed control error, and the synchronous deflection and asynchronous deflection of a turn table and then form a high accurate constant linear speed and constant track pitch spiral-shape of high density information track on an optical original disk with reference to the strictly accurate CLV driving command pulse row. ;SOLUTION: The detecting method for a beam irradiation position error in a feed direction detects the beam irradiation position error based on feed deviation information obtained with reference to the driving command pulse row to a rotation-driving means and a lateral feed driving means generated to be outputted from the start of CLV driving action while the period length is changed with respect to each pulse by a fixed time and the deflection information in the feed direction of the turn table.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
