PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curved surface grinding method that can grind in a short time with little consumption of a grinding wheel by grinding a workpiece with many abrasive grains on the surface of the grinding wheel facing the workpiece. ;SOLUTION: A grinding wheel axis Cg and a workpiece axis Cw are inclined, and the workpiece W is brought into contact with a cylindrical end face of the cup-type grinding wheel G on the grinding wheel side rather than an intersection CP between the grinding wheel axis Cg and the workpiece axis Cw. At this time, the center of the machined end face of the workpiece W is positioned slightly toward the grinding wheel axis Cg side rather than the outer periphery of the grinding wheel G, and the inner periphery of the grinding wheel G is brought into contact with the machined end face of the workpiece W.
