The applicator member includes a plurality of bristles configured to apply a cosmetic product. Some of bristles include a plurality of particles providing roughness on at least a portion of the outer surface of the bristles. The application device can be used in a cosmetic application system having a reservoir. The reservoir is configured to contain a cosmetic product capable of being applied with the application device.
