The present invention relates to a novel acyclic chiral derivatives of Hibiscus acid of formula I, ;wherein:;R₁=R₅=lower aryl or alkyl ester or substituted aryl or alkyl alcohol;R₃=substituted aryl or alkyl ester or substituted aryl alcohol;R₂=R₄=hydroxyl or ;and a process for preparing the same.
