Process for the manufacture of composite particles of poly (urethane - urea) / polymer addition.It avoids the need to use a highly viscous solution of a prepolymer for the poly (urethane - urea).The process comprises dissolving diol and diisocyanate, in addition polymerisable monomers and leave them to co react, but only for a time sufficient to form a precursor to the pre polymer.It has a molecular weight lower than that of the pre polymer, so that the precursor forms a solution with a viscosity much lower.This solution of low viscosity is then dispersed in water to provide droplets in which the co reaction continues and completes the formation of the pre polymer.While the water diffuses in the droplets and causes extension of the chain to create the particles of poly (urethane - urea).The polymerisable monomers by adding droplets dispersed in spontaneously spread in particulate poly (urethane - urea) when they are subjected to a process of addition polymerisation by radIcal free conventional, and formed the composite particles of poly (urethane - urea) / polymer addition.The composite particles can be obtained as aqueous dispersions optionally containing less than 3% of organic solvent and more than 40% by weight of the particles composite.
