Hydrocarbon based, active, refined metallic pigment containing corrosion inhibiting composition (9) filled into partially or completely enclosed spaces, offers galvano anodic protection for steel-structures in contact. The drawing shows technology for introducing compositions into annular spaces. Where guard-pipes are fitted on sections of subterranean steel transport-pipes conveying water, gas, mineral oil etc. and the annular spaces are filled with the composition, the inner surfaces of guard- and the outer surfaces of transport-pipes are protected. The composition also prevents ingress into the annular space of electrolyte-surface water. The composition slows down the rate of pipe-corrosion to such an extent, so that the lifespan of intersection of transport pipes protected by guard pipes extends to the useful life of the pipe-work provided with active corrosion protection. Electric resistance tends to increase between the system-electrode (12) and transport pipes (1) possibly passively sealed and dried out surface. Resistance between water monitoring electrode (13) and the wall (2) of the guard-pipe decreases when water reappears after the annular space is filled. The installation of these electrodes indicates events taking place in the annular spaces.
