The ventilation device is for incorporation in a window sill and comprises a basic profile (1) with a groove (9) on its underside in which the upper edge of a panel is accommodated. The basic profile has apertures (6) which determine a ventilation through passage. The basic profile supports a cap (2) and a closure component (3) displaceable between open and closed states. The cap is supported by surface holders (10) at a distance from the basic profile. The basic profile and the surface holders form parts of a wholly extruded semi-product, in which both the ventilation through passage and through passage (11) between the surface holders are produced by being stamped out.
