The method is for screening against theft of mobile objects carried loosely on the body and involves a mother mini-radio carried on the body, preferably in a belt. The mother mini-radio is in connection with a daughter mini-radio fitted in a hand-bag or similar. The two radios exchange signals. The effective range is adjustable of both radios, i.e. the signal is relative strong where the range is less than 2 metres, between 2 and 4 metres it is relatively weak and above 5 metres is very weak. The mother radio transmits periodically during a short period and activates a return signal in the daughter radio. The mother radio measures the strength of the return signal and draws the conclusion that nothing is happening. When the distance is greater and the return signal is relatively weak an alarm is sounded in the mother radio and the person involved is given the requisite attention.
