Fatty acid analogues for the treatment of primary and secondary restenosis

Fatty acid analogues of the general formula CH3-[CH2]m-[xi-CH2]n-COOR, wherein: n is an integer from 1 to 12, and m is an integer from 0 to 23, and i is an odd number which indicates the position relative to COOR, and each Xi is independently selected from the group consisting of O, S, SO, SO2, Se, and CH2, and R represents hydrogen or C1 -C4 alkyl. These analogues are useful for the treatment of restenosis.
