The invention relates to an installation for automatically taking coal samples, said installation being employed in the stations for loading the means of transportation. According to the invention, the installation for automatically taking the coal samples allows the samples to be taken by transversely intersecting the material flux, by the fact that on the supporting frame of the transportation means there is mounted a deflecting shield (A), which directs the sample flux towards a mobile sampling device (B) and a fixed sampling device (C). The deflecting shield has a deflecting screen (2) supporting some concentrators (3). The mobile sampling device (B) comprises a mobile collecting trough (4) in the shape of a frustum of a cone and the fixed sampling device (C) is provided with a sealing strip (8) in which the discharge end of the mobile collecting trough is mounted.
