A suspension transport system has vehicles supported under a circular cross section track by circular cross section trolleys (2) which cover part of the circumference of the track, on which they are supported by wheels (4) spaced around the track. Each trolley is linked to its vehicle by a rotating support so that the gap in the trolley can be positioned to either side. The switching points have no moving parts but have grooves at the top and under the track. By rotating the trolley to either setting the wheels are guided by the grooves to one or other of the branch tracks. The groove are tapered at each end with a central spine (11) separating the track directions.
