Microstrip antenna or prefractal fractal perimeter. The present invention relates to a microstrip (1) antenna whose perimeter (5) is fractal prefractal. The antenna is formed by a flat surface of a conducting or superconducting material (2) whose perimeter is fractal or prefractal, disposed parallel on a plane conducting or superconducting (3). Between the two planes one or more layers of dielectric material (4) is arranged. The form of excitation of the antenna can be any of the conventional antenna in this type, namely by coaxial probe, slot or electromagnetic coupling. These antennas excited at certain higher than the first resonance frequencies have radiation patterns whose maximum is in the direction perpendicular to the plane containing the antenna. At these frequencies the antenna directivity is higher than that obtained at the frequency of the first resonance.
