Waste is cut, homogenised by vibration, washed with surfactants in a drum and dried on an endless belt using hot air. The effluent generated during this process is filtered and oxidised with ozone. A process for treating agricultural waste products comprises the following steps : (i) cutting up the waste ; (ii) homogenising the cut waste by vibration ; (iii) washing the waste with surfactants in a rotary drum ; (iv) drying the waste on an endless belt using a flow of hot air ; (v) optionally drying the waste in a rotary tank using a flow of hot air ; (vi) filtering the pesticide, microorganism, surfactant and particle-rich effluent generated during this process ; and (vii) oxidising the filtered water with ozone and water in a reactor tank to form purified water suitable for reuse. An Independent claim is also included for the treatment installation.
