A method for the regeneration of an acid gas absorbingfluid which comprises bringing a gaseous mixture containing anacid gas into contact with an absorbing fluid containingmethyldiethanolamine and a (lower alkyl)piperazine so as toabsorb the acid gas into the absorbing fluid, and regeneratingthe absorbing fluid by releasing the acid gas from theabsorbing fluid in a regeneration tower having a temperatureof not less than 40°C.
