Pellets incorporated with a carbonaceous material ofthe present invention contain a carbonaceous material andiron ore mainly composed of iron oxide. The maximumfluidity of the carbonaceous material in softening andmelting, and the ratio of iron oxide particles of 10 µm orsmaller in the iron ore are within the range above a linewhich connects in turn points A, H and C shown in Fig. 1,including the line. This permits the production of pelletsincorporated with a carbonaceous material having excellentthermal conductivity and high strength. Reduction of thepellets incorporated with a carbonaceous material producesreduced iron having high strength after reduction and a lowfines ratio with improved productivity.
