DEVICE FOR THE TRANSFORMATION OF GAS/LIQUID SLUG FLOW TO LAMINAR FLOW

Arrangement in connection with a pipe (1) for transformation of gas/liquid slug flow into stratified flow. The pipe (1) is connected to a second pipe (3) with a larger diameter. In the transition between the pipe (1) and the second pipe (3), a body (2) is provided that is designed to conduct the liquid/gas flow in a direction towards the wall of the second pipe (3), as a result of which the natural flow pattern of the gas/liquid in the second pipe (3) becomes stratified over a predefined distance. The body (2) may have a conical shape or it may be in the form of a triangular beam that extends across the pipe (the transition area between 1 and 3) and is fixed to the pipe wall on both sides.
