The invention relates to a plastic plain bearing body (1) for bearing components that are mobile relative to the bearing body. Said bearing body (1) comprises a seat (2) having a certain width and at least one plain bearing surface (3) for the component to be received. The invention further relates to a plain bearing that comprises at least one plain bearing body. The aim of the invention is to provide a plain bearing body that meets the requirements of low noise emission, is easy to assemble, has good dynamic damping properties and is simple in production. The bearing body (1) is therefore provided with at least one spring-elastic deformable zone (6) that projects from the seat (2) thereby reducing the width thereof and against which the component (22) disposed in the seat (2) can be placed. The bearing body may further comprise retaining fins that can be formed onto at least one front of the bearing body by material reductions and that can be placed onto the exterior of a housing.
