PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an agent imparting water holding power to an inorganic porous material, which can impart stable water permeability and water holding power over a long period without blocking continuous interstices inside of the inorganic porous material such as water-permeable pavement.;SOLUTION: The agent imparting water holding power to the inorganic porous material is, characterized in that it comprises a water-dispersible or water-soluble water absorbing material exhibiting a water absorbing capability of 3 to 500 magnifications, and imparts water holding power to the inorganic porous material through attaching to inner walls of a number of continuous interstices present inside of the inorganic porous material.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
