An apparatus for in-situ detection of polymorphic transformations comprising a probe body having first flow passage means and a retainer member, a screen member having second flow passage means adapted to capture at least one crystal structure of the organic compound, a cap having third flow passage means and means for introducing into the third flow passage means, the cap including first engagement means adapted to engage the retainer member, radiation transmission means for transmitting an excitation light of a given wavelength to at least a first sample of the organic compound, an outlet tube having fourth flow passage means, and pump means for providing a first flow rate of the organic compound into and through the first, second, third and fourth flow passage means.
