METHOD FOR THE AUTOMATIC PLACEMENT OF AT LEAST ONE THERMOPLASTIC TAPE ON A TOOL PLATFORM AND STRUCTURAL COMPONENTS THEREBY PRODUCED

During the placement of thermoplastic tapes the adhesion between tool surface and material surface is insufficient. The application of a first cover layer is essential for the production of a structural component in a thermoplastic tape placement method. Peeling that may occur during the application process prevents the placement of other thermoplastic tapes onto the first layer and thus the production of structural components, especially of components with a concave contour. According to the inventive method, the tool platform is heated to a temperature of 50 °C below and 40 °C above the crystallization temperature of the thermoplastic tape, thereby causing adhesion of the placed thermoplastic tapes to the surface. This adhesion is reduced when the tool platform cools down and facilitates an easy removal of the structural component that is constituted from placed thermoplastic tapes.
