WATER LANCE BLOWER WITH MONITORING DEVICE FOR THE QUALITY OF THE WATER JET, AND METHOD FOR OPERATING THE SAME

The invention relates to a water lance blower for cleaning heat installations. A water lance (1) is swivelably mounted with its orifice (2) at or in a hatch (3). Said water lance can blow a jet of water (4) through the heating installation (21) that is in operation and through which flames and/or flue gases are guided to wall areas that can be reached from the hatch (3). The water lance (1) is provided with at least one sensor (12) that is disposed to detect at least one predeterminable measuring value for monitoring the quality of the water jet (4). The invention further relates to a method for operating the inventive water lance blower. During operation of the water lance blower, at least one parameter characteristic of the quality of the water jet (4) is detected as a measuring value and evaluated. The inventive method allows to evaluate the cleaning effect of the water lance blower during operation and, if required, to influence the same.
