The object of the invention is to develop an NC-controlled portal milling machine which is characterized by a particularly high bending and torsional rigidity of the portal. According to the invention, the object is achieved in that the portal is designed as a round arch portal (1), which is fixedly arranged on both ends of a round arch on a foundation (8), two round arch guides (2, 3) are arranged in parallel on the round arch portal (1), whereby on the inner round arch guide (3) of the carriage (4) which can be moved in the Y-axis direction is arranged with the multi-axis machining unit (5) which can be moved in the Z-axis direction and which is pivotably attached to the carriage (4) with an axis of rotation (B), and on which outer arch guide (2) a sliding block (9) is arranged to be movable in the Y-axis direction and accommodates a sliding block (10) which can be pivoted parallel to the rotating axis direction (B) in a sliding block bearing (11) on which the slide (12) of the multi-axis machining unit (5 ) is arranged in a linear guide.
