Active brazing alloy for brazing parts of alumina ceramics

AN active brazing material, for brazing aluminium oxide ceramics, has the composition (by wt.) NOTGREATER 12% Ti, NOTGREATER 8% Be, less than 16.5% Fe, balance Zr and impurities. Preferred materials contain (i) 8.6% Ti, 4% Be and 15.8% Fe; (ii) 8.8% Ti, 2% Be and 16.2% Fe; (iii) 8.9% Ti, 1% Be and 16.3% Fe; or (i) 10% Ti and 4% Be.
