RULER FOR MEASURING THE INTENSITY OF MICTURITION SYMPTOMS

The invention relates to a ruler that can be used to quantify micturition symptoms. The inventive instrument comprises a longilineal, rigid support (1) and a slider (2). A horizontal, colour band (6) is printed on the front of the instrument. One end of said band comprises an indication corresponding to one extreme situation in which the patient is having no micturition difficulty, while the other end thereof comprises an indication corresponding to the opposite extreme situation in which the patient is experiencing severe micturition difficulties. The rear side of the instrument contains a printed scale from 0 to 35 which is the same size as the aforementioned colour band, the 0 graduation mark of said scale being disposed facing the end of the colour band that indicates that there is no micturition difficulty and the 35 graduation mark being disposed facing the end of the colour band that indicates that severe micturition difficulties are being experienced. In one preferred embodiment of the inventive instrument, the colour band and the scale are both provided with a length of sixteen (16) centimetres plus or minus five (5) centimetres.
