A childproof packaging (10) for pharmaceutical items comprising a blister (22) which holds the pharmaceutical item (18) and is slidable in an opening slit within the top cover element (16) so that it is aligned with an opening (38) in the bottom cover element (14), is new. The opening strip (32) within the top cover element is detachable from the latter along perforated lines.
