The invention relates to a method for pressure regulation in a CPAP device (1). In order to adjust the actual pressure in a mask (5) to a therapeutical pressure, the pressure drop produced by an airflow in a respiratory tube (4) is calculated and from this value a desired pressure for a pressure sensor (3) accommodated in the housing of the CPAP device is repeatedly calculated. The invention further relates to a method for calculating an airflow from the excess pressure produced by the ventilator (2) of a CPAP device (1) and the engine voltage of the blower, thereby eliminating the need for a pressure sensor (3). Finally, the invention relates to a CPAP device (1) and to corresponding test equipment.
