A polymer latex composition comprising a polymer with a glass transition temperature (Tg) of -85 to +30 DEG C and a polymer with Tg of +40 to +140 DEG C, wherein the polymers are dispersion-stabilized with polyvinyl alcohol (PVA). Preferably, the polymer latex composition is (1) a coating composition comprising a first polymer with Tg of -20 to +30 DEG C and a second polymer with Tg of +60 to +140 DEG C, or (2) used for preparation of a dip-forming coagulating composition comprising a coagulant and a polymer latex comprising copolymer particles each having PVA bonded thereto, which are obtainable by polymerizing a monomer capable of forming a third polymer with Tg of -85 to +10 DEG C in a first step, and then a monomer capable of forming a fourth polymer with Tg of +40 to +140 DEG C in the sequential step. The polymerization for preparing the first through fourth polymers is carried out in the presence of PVA in an aqueous medium.
