PROMOTER EXPRESSING FOREIGN GENE IN ROOT AND SHOOT APEX

A promoter inducing expression specifically at least in one organ selected from root and shoot apex is provided. Use of this promoter makes it possible to synthesize a substance having resistance to nematodes or pathogenic soil pesticides in root, to synthesize a substance promoting the growth of root in root, or to restrict the expression of a selection marker of a re-differentiated plant to the roots of young plants and inhibit its expression in matured plants in the construction of a genetically modified plant. Moreover, this promoter is applicable to the development of techniques for regulating gene expression in cells under vigorous proliferation by taking the ability to express in shoot apex.
