To objectively diagnose schizophrenia with the use of gene expression as an indication, it is intended to provide a method of analyzing whether or not the expression dose of a nucleic acid specifying a gene which shows a change in its expression dose due to schizophrenia in a test subject statistically falls within the range of the expression dose of normal subjects. This method is characterized by involving the step of quantifying the expression dose of a nucleic acid specifying a gene which shows a change in its expression dose due to schizophrenia and/or a protein encoded by the above nucleic acid specifying a gene which shows a change in its expression dose due to schizophrenia in a sample collected from a test subject.
