The invention relates to mechanical engineering. The inventive engine comprises a cylinder, a working piston arranged therein and connected to a connecting rod which is cinematically connected to the working shaft, and an external source for fuel ignition. Said connecting rod is connected by the other end thereof to one or directly to two closed flexible couplings which cinematically connect two or more shafts, one, several or all shafts being working shafts or cinematically connected to the working shaft. An auxiliary piston is arranged inside the working cylinder. One end of said auxiliary piston and the working cylinder form a combustion chamber. The auxiliary piston moves after the working piston during the rotation of the working shaft and after passing the position corresponding to top dead center, prior to a combustion stroke, thereby maintaining or producing a required degree of compression. The other end of the auxiliary piston is tightened by a spring to the pressure sector of an auxiliary shaft which is cinematically connected to the working shaft.
